Merging alternative roots with new wave grooves, Boston-based indie band, Pyramid Thieves, offers a fresh perspective on synth pop. Since becoming friends at the outset of high school, the four founding members have been playing and performing together in various permutations over the course of many years. Songwriter and frontman Joey Sawyer, drummer Josh Cornell, and bassist Nick Maloney recorded the recently released, self-titled EP as a three-piece. Shortly thereafter, guitarist Chris Bouchard joined the band to deliver even more intensity and ambience to songs and live performances. While focused on playing out the record, Pyramid Thieves is also writing new material with the intent to release an LP sometime in 2018.
